Job Summary

POSITION PROFILE: (Basic Purpose of Position)
The Senior Project Manager manages multiple projects from inception to delivery while aligning with the company s strategic goals. It uses project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within standards and meet internal and external customer expectations.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

  • Manages multiple projects from inception to delivery within a matrix organization.
  • Manages multiple high impact projects concurrently.
  • Responsible for assembling and managing project plans (schedule, risks, issues, budget)
  • Responsible for maintaining relationship with project owners, stakeholders, team and company leadership.
  • Responsible for developing relationships with customers during project execution and ensuring customer expectations are managed and met.
  • Identifies resource needs.
  • Determines resource assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily.
  • Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plan and/or resources to meet needs.
  • Identifies opportunity for continuous improvement including enhancements to project plans and execution and opportunities for additional projects when applicable.
  • Leads and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, customers and team members.
  • Prepares and presents executive level presentations and summaries of key initiatives.
  • Performs quality review and escalates functional, quality and timeline issues properly.
  • Prepares weekly/monthly reporting on projects status highlighting progress, key milestones and relevant issues/risks.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments within the organization to meet goals.
  • Collaborates with business leadership to ensure project results and metrics are tracked.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

  • Bachelor s degree in Business or related field required.
  • Project Management Certificate preferred.
  • 5-7 years of work experience required.
  • 3-5 years managing projects in a matrixed organization preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools required, Salesforce preferred.
  • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodology required
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite required. Specifically Excel in the manipulation of data for analysis and PowerPoint for the creation of presentation documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, internal and external customers as well as stakeholders.
  • Required to have strong organization and time management skills.
  • Must be proactive in approach to solutioning.
  • Must be able to manage team members and others in a matrix organization.
  • Familiarity with lean tools preferred (problem solving, kaizen, gemba walks, etc.)
  • ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

    Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level

    Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed.

    A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis. Overnight travel will be required periodically.

    Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary, but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
